EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

An Evansville man has been arrested after causing a dangerous traffic accident Saturday night.

30-year-old Thomas James McBride was charged after causing that accident on Maxwell and Kentucky where police say he rear-ended a vehicle causing it to flip. McBride's vehicle landed on top of it.

McBride was taken to a hospital to be checked for his injuries. Police say he was intoxicated and had drug paraphernalia.

Police and fire units responded to the call that came in just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday night. McBride and two other people were involved in the accident.

McBride faces several charges and is being held at the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Officials say the two people who were in the flipped car are expected to recover.
