Onsite OHS provides on location medical facilities similar to an urgent care to more 150 clients worldwide.
PRINCETON, IN (WFIE) -
A local business is receiving national recognition after posting a more than 4,000 percent increase in jobs.
Residents in Princeton know Kyle Johnson as the man behind the town's revitalization projects. But, it's his worldwide medical company that's garnering him national attention.
Onsite Occupational Health and Safety planted its roots in Princeton in 2008 with just four employees. Four years later, president Kyle Johnson is happy to have the corporate headquarters for his rapidly growing business in the heart of a small town.
"We've got great people here, great work ethic. It's inexpensive comparatively and it's a great little town," Johnson said.
Onsite OHS provides on location medical facilities similar to an urgent care to more 150 clients worldwide. That client list includes construction firms, NFL stadiums, convention centers and US troops in Afghanistan.
"Here, domestically, people are interested in decreasing their health care costs or decreasing their worker's compensation costs, so that's an incentive to put an Onsite facility inside their plant for example," Johnson told 14 News.
Johnson says he took a big risk and has been criticized for his success, but says what he's done isn't all that extraordinary.
"A little luck and a lot of hard work, and blood, sweat and tears and anybody can do it," Johnson said.
Onsite OHS ranks third among all Indiana private businesses for job growth in the past three years. It ranks second in the United States in percentage of job growth, all according to INC Magazine.
With nearly $20 million in yearly revenues, Johnson says continued job growth is rapid, but slightly unpredictable.
"I mean we could have 200 employees here in the next 6 months, I have no idea. We're constantly growing, we're constantly winning contracts," Johnson said.
The real winner is the City of Princeton. Johnson owns 18 buildings around the square, a sign of his investment in the community.
