The Warrick County Sheriff's Office says what began as a trespassing arrest might turn into a more serious case after state police complete their investigation.

In November, the Warrick County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for trespassing while they are not releasing details about the case at this moment. They say they expect more to be determined after a federal investigation is complete.

For now detectives charged Gregory Evans with residential entry.

They say the homeowner was alerted by her security system, that someone was in the home on November 2.

Detectives say Evans didn't break into the home, but did not have permission to be there.

"November 2nd the Sheriff's Office was alerted there because there were some alarms that went off at the residence, the officers were able to respond to that area, and in speaking with some of the people that live there we were able to determine who entered that home. Unfortunately the case might take some time to put together, so you build a solid case," said Lt. Michael Wilder, Warrick County Sheriff's Office.

Evans has bonded out of jail. Detectives say they expect more charges to follow.
