A dog is dragged behind a truck in Daviess County and investigators are deciding what's the next step in the case.
The Daviess County Sheriff's Office was called to a home on Hamilton Ferry Road around 7:00 Monday morning.
A witness told deputies they saw a man dragging a dog behind his truck.
The dog was able to wiggle free from its collar and limped into the witness's yard.
The dog received cuts and abrasions from being dragged.
"There was quite a bit of blood on the roadway and in the complainant's yard that was from the dog, said Deputy Bill McKinney.
The dog was taken to the Daviess County Animal Shelter.
No arrests have been made.
Deputies said their investigation will continue.
