VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff Office arrested a woman they believed to be intoxicated behind the wheel with her son in the car.
Officials say it happened on November 27 around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of E Louisiana St. and N. Heidalbach Ave.
Authorities say Amber Nicole Conley was spotted failing to stop at a stop sign and was pulled over.
During the traffic stop Deputies say that it looked like Conley was having trouble keeping her head and eyes open.
Deputies say Conley admitted to taking Lortabs throughout the day and had just recently took a Klonopin. Both are prescription drugs. Officials say Conley told them she had a prescription for the Lortab but did not have one for the Klonopin.
Officials say a field sobriety test was conducted and Conley failed. Deputies say Conley was then placed under arrest on multiple charges, including: OMVWI with a passenger under 18 and Disregard for Stop Signs.
Authorities say they notified the boy's father who came and got him from the scene.
Conley was taken to the Vanderburgh County Corrections Center.
