Traffic along State Road 261 in Warrick County will change come Monday morning. It's the halfway point of construction along the roadway.
INDOT spokesperson Cher Elliott says the southbound lanes of 261 are finally complete, and that they will now turn to construction on the northbound lanes.
Elliott says throughout the construction project, drivers have been directed to use the northbound lanes to move to and from town. Now, she says the opposite will take place, as drivers will now use the newly-constructed southbound lanes.
"As motorists are leaving in town here, or the 66 intersection, you're going to notice that you're being transitioned to the left, where you're use to seeing oncoming traffic come to you. And then southbound traffic is just going to go ahead and shift all the way over to the right-hand side as they come into town," said Elliott.
Elliott says this entire project is still moving ahead, as scheduled and is expected to be complete by 2014.
