It's the last day of the month and the last day for men to show off the beards they've been growing and grooming for "No Shave November": an effort to bring awareness to prostate cancer.
The men at Cape paid local barber "Fast Eddy" a visit this morning to say good-bye to, in some cases, unruly beards.
Twelve men participated, but some decided they liked their new look and would keep the scruff just a little longer but project manager Steven Thomas was ready for the razor today.
"Well a lot of friends, they liked it, but it just took a little getting used to. I feel like a new person, I was ready for it to go," said Thomas.
More than a hundred men at Deaconess Hospital also gave their razors a rest this month. Click here for that story.
