ALine, Inc. is one of 13 finalists for the 2012 Patrick Soon Shiong Innovation Award. The finalists were honored at a gala dinner event at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel. ALine was recognized for its pioneering microfluidic technology that has supported commercialization of next generation Lab on a Chip products.
ALine creates a bridge from early proof of concept to commercialization of novel microfluidic products using a proprietary Integrative Polymeric Platform (IPP). The platform enables rapid prototyping of high quality Lab on a Chip devices which are critical for the newer, quantitative tests used in sophisticated medical diagnostic products. These products include a molecular test for patients taking warfarin to personalize their therapeutic regimen, or for patients who dial 911 with chest pain, and are tested en route to the hospital to determine if they had a heart attack. ALine's microfluidic design and rapid prototyping expertise, along with engineering and low to mid-volume manufacture of Lab-on-a-Chip devices has demonstrated market success.
