MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

A Madisonville man is in jail after police say he went into a business and hit one of the owners with a pipe. 

Madisonville Police say witnesses tell them 45-year-old Morris Jones hit the victim, Douglas Leasure, with a pipe several times during the confrontation.

Leasure was taken to the hospital for his injuries, and Jones is under arrest for second degree assault.

He is lodged at the Hopkins County Jail.
