EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Crush, your Premier Semi-Pro Arena soccer team, will kick off its second season Saturday with a home opener against regional rival River City Legends.

The game is a rematch of the exciting Turkey Bowl final last month, where River City defeated the Crush 9-4 to take the bowl championship.

"It was rough in the second half," said Crush Head Coach Josh Tucker. "We were down last Friday in the beginning but came back to tie the game 4-4 in the fourth period. But we blew the lead after that with some silly blue card fouls."

"We've faced them several times now in pre-season, so we know what we're up against. I think this is a good opportunity for the team. We were missing a few players Friday who will be back and I know the guys want to get off to a good start to this season," Tucker added.

The match will take place at Metro Sports Center in Evansville. Kick off is set for 8 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for anyone 18 years of age and under.

During half time of the match, the new Evansville Crush Dance Team will provide entertainment.

Season passes for all Crush games are available by visiting the team Web site, www.evansvillecrush.com, or by calling Metro Sports Center at (812) 479-5425.
