'Biggest Loser' contestants spread message of staying healthy

A message was taught Tuesday about getting and staying healthy.

Chris and Roy Pickler of Middlebury, Indiana, and from season 13 of NBC's The Biggest Loser talked to local school wellness coordinators in the Welborn Baptist Foundation's HEROES initiative. 

HEROES stands for Healthy, Energetic, Ready, Outstanding, and Enthusiastic Schools.
 
The Picklers talked about their time on the Biggest Loser ranch and spread their message about the obesity epidemic among children.

"It's a dangerous place to be, but I feel like it's early enough that we can do what it takes to bring awareness to this epidemic and reverse the trend before these kids reach adulthood,"Chris said.

On the show, Chris lost 77 pounds. Roy lost 88 pounds.

They now travel around teaching others about the importance of getting healthy.
