CHANDLER, IN (WFIE) -

Chandler United Methodist Church is asking for donations to feed the hungry this holiday season.

Church officials say their pantry ran out of turkeys for Thanksgiving after helping 103 individuals and 29 families the week before the holiday.

"We would take any donations, a turkey, a ham. If you can't afford that, dressing, or anything. It really hurt, even money. It really hurt that last week all those families not have food," said Tamara Bowman, a church member and volunteer.

The church pantry is open for donations and food pick up on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
