Motorists in Madisonville are being advised to avoid Shamrock Drive for the next few days.
Crews will be laying new asphalt because of problems with cracks and bumps. The city says the repairs have been needed for awhile now, and officials wanted to get the work done before the end of the year.
"With winter coming on to be able to squeeze this project in it's something we've been looking at for awhile, but the pavers have been out doing state jobs. Right now, we're able to get this on our schedule and their schedule and we just hope the weather helps us out in the next few days," City Administrator Mike Franklin said.
