A traffic alert to tell you about in Henderson.
A section of Madison Street in Henderson will be shut down for the remainder of the week.
Crews are starting a second phase out of the city's three phase project to help foot traffic near South Heights School.
The project is being funded with federal dollars along with $7,200 from the Henderson Housing Authority.
Assistant City Manager Buzzy Newman says with the amount of traffic on Sand Lane, the sidewalk is greatly needed.
"There's quite a bit of foot traffic. There is an adjoining neighborhood, actually there is two of them, that will be able to utilize the sidewalks to gain access to south heights school," said Newman.
This phase of the project is set to be completed by the end of the week with total completion in 6 to 9 months.
