CorTechs Inc announced that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) competitively awarded it a contract for the DoD Enterprise Test Framework (DETF) and Centralized Management System. The Software as a Service (SaaS) portal provides continuous access to an integrated set of test, evaluation and certification automated tools using a utility model, "pay by the use".
Centreville, Virginia (PRWEB) November 26, 2012
The CorTechs Team provides engineering design, integration and deployment of a web based automated test tool capability. This capability leverages existing DISA developed products, as well as using commercial products. The portal provides continuous access to an integrated set of test, evaluation and certification automated tools that offer autonomous as well as supported testing capabilities to DoD and DISA. The CorTechs DETF Team consists of Prime Contractor, CorTechs as, and subcontractors, Base Technologies, Booz Allen Hamilton and RiVidium.
CorTechs leverages their 15 year history of software productivity improvement services with agile development and automated test services to develop and deploy the web based automated test portal. The portal will allow users to pay for the test tools only when they are using them through a “pay by the use” model. This contract supports DISA’s Strategic Plan 2013-2018 and the DoD Joint Information Environment (JIE) initiatives.
Robert Linton, CorTechs Vice President of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) stated, “CorTechs’ contract to support DETF enables our team to provide DISA and their mission partners the benefit of our combined years of experience successfully deploying a comprehensive Software Quality Engineering approach. This allows us to add value to the government in a CorTechs sweet spot! “
According to Dick Blom CorTechs President, “This project expands CorTechs growing agile development and automated test integration business including the use of virtualized services to provide a stable enterprise pre-production testing environment.” This contract is one of several initiatives that CorTechs supports to provide development and test as a service encompassing Software as a Service (SaaS) in Cloud Environments.
Jay Wiener, CorTechs Founder said, “CorTechs’ significant experience and knowledge base in dealing with the full life-cycle challenges of both Software as a Service (SaaS) and Cloud-based computing makes this program a very natural fit for us. We believe that many elements of the Federal Government will wish to take advantage of the higher-value, lower-risk benefits of this modern and effective solution, and CorTechs intends to provide such solutions on a growing scale as we move forward.”
The contract with Options could be worth $5.8M over two years.
