Some in Evansville skipped the stores to sip some beer.
The Tin Man Brewery opened on Franklin Street at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, and dozens were in line to get a taste.
The brewery features five different beers made with their mash filter system, that is eco-friendly, and makes beer taste better with less natural gas than traditional beer.
They also serve Tennessee-based Gunslinger's bar-b-que.
"I've been anticipating this for quite a while, six to eight months," said David Nichols. "We do a lot of running, with the Evansville Running Club, we run Franklin Street quite a bit, so we watched the renovations take place and construction take place."
It took months to construct, Tin Man rehabbed a building more than 100 years old.
Tin Man is open at 11:00 a.m., seven days a week, at 1430 West Franklin.
