OPD searching for sexual abuse suspect

On November 21st, 2012 at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Owensboro Police Department responded to Legion Park, 3041 J. R. Miller Boulevard, in reference to a sexual abuse call.

Police say the initial report from the victim, an adult female, states that while she was jogging in the park, an unknown white male approached her from behind, shoved her to the ground, and began groping her inappropriately.

Authorities say the male subject fled the scene on foot as other people in the park began approaching.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 5'7"/160 pounds, wearing a black sock cap with a yellow ball on top, a gray shirt, and black shorts.

    Since September, employees have been given three options:  Get the flu shot, get an approved religious or medical exemption, or leave Essentia. At least 50 people have lost their jobs thus far.
