Its seems the more turmoil and tragedy we experience in the world the more thankful we are for the blessings we have.
Its been a rough year for some of us, with unemployment and record numbers of people on welfare.
In spite of losing everything, the Americans that survived hurricane Sandy will be especially thankful that they are simply alive.
We have had our sad times in the Tri State, one example is the loss of a young man that touched us all with his battle against cancer.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It's simple and not so complicated. It's one day of sharing time with family and remembering our blessings.
So let me take this opportunity to wish all of you Happy Thanksgiving from 14 News, and remind you that the Salvation Army Toy Town will kick off Friday, December 7th.
Your favorite News Anchors will be live that day from the area Wal-Mart's, ringing the bells and collecting donations for families and children in need. The number of children who need Christmas presents this year is up 47% from last year.
Thank you for your generosity in the past and Happy Thanksgiving!
