HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

One Hopkins County group is trying to make sure all kids get presents this holiday season.

It's called the Christmas Teen Shopping Program and it's put on by the Pennyrile Allied Community Services.

Donations allow just less than 200 underprivileged teens the opportunity to spend a $100 gift card at a local outlet shop.

This year the group has raised $5,000, and they're hoping to get to $20,000 by Christmas time.

"We've had some that apparently they have watched their parents shop. They shop the clearance racks first before they go purchase the brand new items at regular price. They come out with just bags and bags and bags and still have money on their card," said Bobbi Ann Wilcox, the Hopkins County Director of PACS.

If you're interested in learning more about how to register or donate to the program, you can call (270) 821-8114.
