Vintage car involved in accident on Evansville's north side

Posted: Updated:

An accident involving a vintage car sent one person to the hospital Tuesday evening on Evansville's north side.

Police say around 5:00 p.m., a vintage car was heading west on Lynch Rd. and a Camry was heading east, trying to turn north on Oakhill Rd. Authorities tell 14 News the vintage car collided with the Camry.

Police say one person had to extricated from the vintage car. That person was taken to the hospital.

"It may have made some difference in the injuries they received because modern cars have airbags and the car itself is made to take the brunt of those accidents. That may be why some of their injuries are more significant," said Karen Kajmowicz with Evansville Police.

Two other people involved in the crash were treated at the scene.
