Thanksgiving is just a week away, and Indiana State Police will be out keeping an eye on the extra traffic.
A lot of us will be getting into our vehicles to travel to see family over the next couple weeks, and this is the time, you'll want to be buckled up and want to put those cell phones away.
Starting Friday, Indiana State Police and 250 other law enforcement agencies will take part in Operation Pull Over.
There will be more check points and patrols.
State Police say last Thanksgiving holiday, five people in the state we're killed by drunk drivers, and 12 were killed by not wearing their seatbelts.
"Because of those two number we're going to be aggressively looking for impaired drivers and those drivers not bucked up," said ISP Sgt. Todd Ringle.
If that's not enough, keep in mind an average ticket runs you about $100.
This enforcement runs through December 2nd.
