LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An update to a WAVE 3 exclusive about a dentist under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The DEA said Dr. Don Kean, who runs Market Street Dental in the Russell neighborhood was not properly registered. When they went to his office they found out dated and unclean working conditions.

Records at the Kentucky Board of Dentistry show multiple complaints filed against Dr. Kean dating all the way back until 1998. Records show he failed to keep written records, prescribed drugs in appropriate amounts and were out of the scope of a dentist. At that time he was put on probation for two years.

Dr. Kean has more complaints from 2001 and 2010 that include not performing a minimum standard of diagnosis and treatment.

The Board of Dentistry cannot comment on any current investigations.
