The teenager's mom, Mistie Frazier, says they don't normally leave the wheelchair out on their porch, but thought it would be okay until this morning when Austin went to use it for school, it was no where to be found.
Mistie says her son, Austin, an 18-year-old that attends North High School, can walk some of the time with crutches, but has Spinabifida is paralyzed from the knees down.
He uses his wheelchair to get around school. For school on Wednesday, the school lent him their emergency one.
Mistie was very worried about getting a new wheelchair since she says you are only eligible for a new one every five years.
Austin's wheelchair is specifically made for his needs and his size, and cost about $1,000.
"I kind of let things roll, but in reality talking about it, it's just wrong for somebody to do something like that and it upsets me that there are people out there that would do stuff like that," Misty said.
Police say the wheelchair was found abandoned. No one is being charged at this time.
