Blue Angel number eight has landed at Tri-State aero to officially seal their return to Evansville's riverfront.

He will visit with organizers of next summer's Shrinerfest. This meeting will be the first of many to plan their role in the 2013 summer event.

You'll remember the Blue Angels pulled out just days before their scheduled performance in 2011.

They say that cancellation was due to a commander flying too low during a Virginia airshow.

Festival organizers say the Blue Angels are now stronger than ever and are paying Evansville back in a big way.

"We got them for the 4th of July. What better way to celebrate the fourth of July weekend," said Dale Thomas with ShrinersFest 2013.

Organizers expect the Blue Angels to bring at least 40,000 people down to the riverfront.

This year's $5.00 admission button will give you front row seat.

To bring the Blue Angels here isn't cheap, it costs $6,000 a day not including hotels, transportation, and meals for the air staff.

In addition to the Blue Angels, organizers are working to four or five other air acts under contract for Shrinersfest. Those names should be released soon.
