With its Thanksgiving Day Parade less than two weeks away, Macy's tested three new balloons on Saturday.

"Papa Smurf", "Elf on the Shelf" and "Hello Kitty" will make their debut appearances in the parade.

All balloons are tested for aerodynamics, buoyancy and lift. Macy's wants to make sure they'll float properly on the Manhattan parade route.

This year marks the 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
