A new company is saving dozens of jobs in Madisonville.

Integrated Metal Solutions announced the buyout of the Schott-Gemtron Metals Division.

This move will save over 60 jobs and officials say they plan to hire even more in the near future.

Earlier this year, the manufacturing company Schott-Gemtron announced they were relocating one division of their company, creating a loss of over 100 jobs locally.

But now, Integrated Metal Solutions has agreed upon a buyout of Schott-Gemtron's Metal Division that will keep about 63 jobs in Madisonville.

Integrated Metal Solutions has agreed upon a long term supply deal with Schott-Gemtron and officials say they plan to add an additional 10 to 20 jobs in the future.

Officials say they will be hiring for general labor positions.

"I think it's uplifting to the people saying there's some hope out there for some jobs and I think it's just a great endeavor and I really appreciate the effort that's being done," said Hopkins County Judge Executive Donnie Carroll.

Officials say they've begun the hiring process for the new jobs.
