Oakland City University being saluted as a military friendly campus.
It's the second time in three years Oakland City has been chosen as a military friendly school.
Schools need to apply for the recognition and get points based on military discounts and scholarships, and how flexible their schedules are for military students.
Oakland City University offers evening classes, online classes and off-campus classes at several locations.
Betty Burns, Oakland City University Registrar and VA Certifying Officer says, "We help them in determining what type of degree they want. We accept their transfer work that they have through the military, and we help them go around the rules if they happen to get activated. Or if they are off for a while or get deployed, when they get back then we can put them right back in the program where they left."
More than 30 schools were chosen in the state, including Ivy Tech, Vincennes University, U of E and USI.
