Evansville Police arrested 25-year-old Julian Knight after officers responded to a family fight on the 2000 block of E. Gum St Tuesday morning.

A 21-year-old relative told officers that she had been arguing with Knight about the presidential election. During the argument, Knight got mad and allegedly spit in the victims face.

Knight then pushed and punched the victim. Knight ran from the house before officers arrived.

Knight was found nearby and arrested on several active warrants. The victim was not injured, but a report was filed as part of the investigation.

Knight could face charges of Battery by Bodily Waste and Simple Battery if the victim pursues the charges. Both are Class-A misdemeanors.
