Three people were taken into custody by the Owensboro Police Department and the Daviess County Sheriff's Office during the execution of an indictment warrant at an apartment on the 2300 block of Carter Road.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.

Officials say, once on the scene they detected the odor of ether and ammonia coming from inside the apartment.

After hearing the fire alarm activate, forced entry was made into the apartment to check the welfare of the occupants.

Patrol units and Sheriff's deputies found two active methamphetamine labs, which caused the small fire in the bathroom. Officers and deputies say they also located other items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Three people inside the apartment were arrested and were being kept in the Daviess County Detention Center.

19-year-old Kassie Harmon faces a couple of manufacturing meth charges, a felony tampering with physical evidence charge, and a drug paraphernalia charge.

58-year old Calvert Harmon faces a manufacturing meth charge, a felony tampering with physical evidence charge, and a drug paraphernalia charge.

36-year-old David Welch Jr faces a manufacturing meth charge, a felony tampering with physical evidence charge, and a drug paraphernalia charge.
