EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
The Evansville Crush, Evansville's semi-professional indoor soccer
team, has announced the schedule for its third annual Hoosier Cup that will be held
Saturday, Nov. 10, at Metro Sports Center in Evansville.
The Crush will host the tournament for the third year, with five
other Midwest teams to battle for the Cup.
FC Indy Elite, the reigning 2011
Hoosier Cup champs, return to defend their title. The other teams joining the
Crush and Indy Elite include the Cincinnati Saints, Los Bravos, River City
Legends and Paducah Premier.
Games will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and kick off Los
Bravos facing the Evansville Crush.
"We're excited to keep this tradition going here in Evansville,"
said Crush Head Coach Josh Tucker. "Indy Elite beat us in the final last year
on a shootout, so the guys are looking to take the Hoosier Cup back. We're
ready to go out and have a great tournament."
The schedule of games is as followed:
10 a.m.:
Los Bravos v. Evansville Crush
Noon:
River City Legends v. FC Indy Elite
1 p.m.:
Crush vs. Cincinnati Saints
2 p.m.:
Paducah Premier v. River City
3 p.m.
Los Bravos v. Saints
4 p.m.
Paducah v. FC Indy Elite
5 p.m.
Third place Group A v. Third place Group B
6 p.m.:
Semi group A1 v. Semi Group B2
7 p.m.:
Semi Group B1 v. Semi Group A2
8 p.m. Championship game
Tickets for
the day will cost $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 3 to 18 years old. A
post game party will be held at The Fox and Hound to congratulate the teams!
