The Indiana Department of Transportation is advising motorists to be aware of upcoming lane restrictions on U.S. 41 near the Lloyd Expressway.
Transportation officials say railroad crews will begin making repairs to their crossing on Monday, November 12. Crews will close two lanes of traffic at a time while the repairs are being made.
Each lane restriction is anticipated to last up to four hours at a time.
Crews will at some point also be required to close the exit ramps to and from Lloyd Expressway during the work, however, U.S. 41 will not be closed to traffic.
The lane restrictions will take place during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day to avoid rush hour traffic.
All repairs are estimated to be complete by Friday, November 16, weather, material and equipment dependent.
