Kentucky State Police are working to keep impaired drivers off the road this holiday season.
It's called Operation Raid, or Removing Aggressive, Impaired, and Distracted drivers campaign.
KSP plans to increase traffic checkpoints and up patrols along busy roadways in each county.
Police say there are more drivers on the road this part of the year, and they're just trying to prevent accidents.
"It's about saving lives and preventing injuries and most of these collisions and crashes that we as law enforcement investigate they're preventable," said Kentucky State Trooper Stu Ecke. "If you're an aggressive driver, that's preventable. If you're an impaired driver that's preventable. If you're distracted that's preventable."
