Suspect charged with July burglary already in jail

HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) -

Henderson Police say they have made an arrest in connection with a burglary that happened in early July.

On July 1, Chad Borum reported a burglary at his home which is located at 428 Crestview Drive in Henderson. 

Officials say forced entry was made to his garage and several items including firearms and a safe were stolen. 

Authorities say on Wednesday, Detective Troutman, with the Henderson Police Department, located one of the stolen firearms and several coins belonging to Corum at the home of 31-year-old Brandon Owens. 

Owens is currently being incarcerated at the Henderson County Detention Center on an unrelated charge, but was charged by Detective Troutman with Burglary 1st Degree.
