Owensboro:
Halloween will be observed Wednesday, October 31. Halloween is not an official holiday. Government offices and businesses are open as usual and public services run on regular schedules. If you drive around in late afternoon or evening, it is important to keep a careful lookout for children trick-or-treating.
Henderson County:
Downtown Trick or Treating - October 31st, 3:00 to 5:00pm
The Henderson Police Department is recommending that children go Trick or Treating on Halloween from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. To ensure the safety of everyone who may be out during this time, they suggest:

- Walk, don't run
- Be careful crossing streets
- Don't walk through yards. Use driveways and sidewalks
- Finish trick-or-treating before dark
- Wear clothing that will be visible in low light conditions
- Motorists should slow down, especially in neighborhoods and watch out for children
