TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
An alleged police impersonator suspected of robbing two men is now in jail.
Jennifer Louise Cowser, 39, is charged with two counts of felony impersonating a public servant.
"The two Hispanic males that stated they were robbed by her, by impersonating as a public servant by showing a badge, they failed to mention at the beginning that she had offered sex to them," said Don Martin with the Tyler Police Department.
Police say according to the victims Cowser offered sex to both men.
The first incident occurred when she met the man at D and N Grocery, on October 7th. She allegedly offered the victim sex, and then met up with him at a second location off Palace Street.
"She presented herself as an officer by presenting a badge, got their wallet as they were getting their ID, and then she took off in her vehicle," said Martin.
Police say the second incident started at a grocery store off Highway 31 and Loop 323 on October 14th.
Police say again, she offered the victim sex, and told him to meet her at a local carwash off Front Street in Tyler.
"She got in his vehicle, found a cell phone that was in there, took his wallet, and then she left in her vehicle," said Martin.
After receiving a few tips and investigating, police were able to arrest Cowser and now believe she could be the missing link to a previous case.
"We have a case back in June, where three Hispanic males reported the same type of incident that had happened to them," said Martin.
Jennifer Cowser is being held on a $300,000 bond. Police say she could still face theft charges.
