OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

It's time for Ghosts and Goblins in Daviess County.

It's a little quiet at Smothers Park right now, but that's about to change.

The 23rd Annual Ghosts and Goblins in the Park has a new home at Smothers Park in downtown Owensboro this year.

It's a two day event beginning Thursday night with a trail of treats and continuing on Saturday with Halloween Fun Day.

Tonight's festivities start at 5:30 p.m. and will be held along Veterans Boulevard in front of Smothers Park.

The Owensboro Museum of Science and History, Famous Bistro, Bee Bops, and other businesses are part of a trick or treat path where they hand out candy to kids.

Lots of other activities will take place at the same time at Riverfront Crossing.

Those include a scarecrow craft, face painting, and a science project.

This is the largest trick or treat event in Owensboro.

If you and your family plan on attending, maps will be handed out tonight, but you can download one ahead of time if you'd like.
