Posted: Updated:
CHANDLER, IN (WFIE) -

Our reporter on the scene just confirmed that the young boys have been found safe.

Previously Reported:

Chandler's Police Chief Marlin Weisheit says there is an active search for two missing boys, 3-year-old Michael Bass and 4-year-old Dylon Bass of Chandler.

The children were last seen around 1 o'clock this afternoon, near their parent's home; on the 600 block of Birkshire Circle. That's the east side of Chandler.

At first, authorities thought the children were out in the woods and they have been known to hide in the past, but now it's been more than a hour and officials are getting concerned.

Officers and their parents are searching the woods and vacant trailers around the Pinecrest Mobile Home Park off of State Rd. 62.

The boys have blonde short hair and are of an average build.

3-year-old Michael was last seen wearing a light shirt and blue sweatpants, 4-year-old Dillon was wearing an orange shirt and red pants. Both have tennis shoes on.

We're working on getting pictures, and will attach them to this story ASAP.
