A suffocation hazard prompts the recall of 97,000 Eddie Bauer wooden bassinets.

The bottom locking mechanism on the bassinet can fail to lock properly if a spring is not

installed.

That could allow the bassinet to tip to one side and cause an infant to roll to the side of the

bassinet.

Dorel Juvenile Group manufactured the bassinets and has received 17 reports of incidents

involving infants.

In two cases, the infants were reported to have breathing difficulties after rolling into the

side.

Consumers should contact Dorel for a free repair kit at (877) 416-0165.
