OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Owensboro Community and Technical College's Women in Support of Education, or WISE, is teaming up with the Daviess County Attorney's Office Domestic Violence Task Force to host a workshop focusing on domestic violence.

It starts Tuesday, October 23rd at 3:30 p.m.

The workshop will take place in Blandford Hall, which is in the Humanities Building on OCTC's main campus, just off of New Hartford Road.

Speakers will focus on several issues, but special attention will be given to resources in the area that are available to victims and their advocates.

It's important to remember that if you are a victim of domestic violence, there are options for you to get help.

For example, the Owensboro Police Department has a list of phone numbers, shelters, and examples of what constitutes domestic violence.
