One dies in hospital after head-on collision in Henderson Co.

The Vanderburg County Coroner's Office confirms that one of the individuals involved in the serious traffic accident on Highway 41 Alternate in Henderson County on Friday night has died of her injuries.

The coroner's office says 64-year-old Dianna Hunt died around 5:15 a.m. Saturday morning at St. Mary's from the injuries she suffered in the crash.

The crash happened just before 8:00 p.m. Friday night, just south of Henderson near the 425 Bypass when a red Chevy pick up and a White GMC SUV collided head on.

Officials at the scene told 14 News the drivers, Hunt and 47-year-old Robert Nunley, were both air lifted from the scene, one to flown to St. Mary's, and the other to Deaconess Hospital.

At this time, authorities have no reason to believe alcohol was involved.
