Using sidewalk chalk, students created art and messages to bring awareness about domestic violence.
The sidewalk in front of Signature School is more colorful Tuesday night after students
"chalked it up."
In a partnership with the YWCA, students decorated the sidewalk with domestic violence facts. Using sidewalk chalk they created art and messages to bring awareness about domestic violence.
"Domestic violence is really relevant to Evansville. We've had a lot of deaths and a lot of issues with it around locally. So, it's good that people are hearing about it and finding out about it and hopefully preventing it," senior Blythe Muth said.
Signature School hopes that other schools will take on the challenge of chalking up the streets for domestic violence awareness.
