The United
Leasing Championship Golf Tournament has announced the dates for the
2013 tournament.
The dates for the
tournament will be June 27-30 with activities
starting on Monday, June 24.
The tournament will be held at Victoria National Golf Club again in
2013.

the United Leasing Championship again in 2013. "We now know first-hand that it's
so much more than a golf tournament. It showcases our community to the world,
it brings tourism dollars to the area, it benefits charity, plus it's just a
lot of fun. Fans saw world-class golf. Local and out-of-town businesses
entertained clients. The Golf Channel broadcast was superb, and everyone got to
experience the beauty of Victoria National. It was a win-win for everyone
involved."
Over $100,000 in charitable giving
was generated by the tournament through Old National Bank's Golf Gives Back,
and other charity activities like Youth First's putting contest and the Castle
Band Boosters' parking lot operation.
The tournament this year showed our
community to the world as 4.5 million people tuned into coverage on the Golf
Channel. Another 5.9 million households were reached via other Golf Channel
promotions, and the Leaderboard updates on CBS sports coverage reached another
9 million households and over 240 countries.
An estimated $1.4 million in DIRECT
expenditures were made by the over 2,300 out of town visitors who watched, played,
or produced the golf tournament. Over three years, this is expected to result
in a TOTAL economic impact (direct and indirect spending) in excess of $5
million.
