EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
Old National Bank has acquired a new location to house its call center and collections department.
The former Springleaf Financial office building at the corner of Royal Avenue and Virginia will soon become the new office building for about 80 Old National Bank employees.
Bank spokesperson Kathy Schoettlin says they bought the former Springleaf office building last week.
Currently, the call center and collections employees work out of the downtown Sycamore Building, and Schoettlin says the bank's lease will end at that location at the start of 2013.
They say they will be moving approximately 80 employees to this new location by the second quarter of 2013. As for the remaining 30 to 40 employees, who also currently work in the Sycamore Building, Schoettlin says they will move to the bank's Fourth Street location.
"We've been looking at it for a few months. This was a location, as we visited, was perfect location for our client care center, providing ample space, a lot more square footage, parking, and the backup generators. So, it was really just a perfect option for, again, the client care and the collection units," Schoettlin said.
Schoettlin says non-disclosure of the purchase amount was part of the deal, so we do not know that number.
Schoettlin says employees will move out in early 2013.
