Indiana State Police have arrested a man they say wrote several checks from the place he worked out to himself.
Police say the arrest stems from a month long investigation.
Officials say about a month ago ISP started a criminal investigation after receiving a complaint that 58-year-old Alford H. Bauer Jr, of Evansville, who was then the property manager at Christmas Lake Village, was allegedly mismanaging funds at the village.
ISP says their investigation revealed that on several occasions Bauer wrote checks to himself out of the Village's account.
Police say they were able to establish enough probable cause for arrest warrants to be issued.
ISP says a warrant was issued and they then arrested Bauer at his home without incident.
Bauer was transported to the Spencer County Jail and booked on the following charges: Forgery, Theft and Fraud.
