EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

On Sunday, October 14, over 600 people raced around Evansville for the chance to win the ring of their dreams in the The 3rd Annual Kruckemeyer and Cohn Diamond Dash.

Dressed to match, all in event-specific T-shirts, teams of two followed challenges randomly sent via text messages to their cell phones.

Kruckemeyer and Cohn is the first Evansville jeweler to partner with the Google-backed mobile gaming company, SCVNGR, to turn the city into a virtual game board for the special day. The trek sent teams around the downtown area solving challenges like this one at Decades of Design: Find the fountain outside decades of Design.

After about two hours of racing, the participants all met at Casino Aztar, unaware of who was going to walk away with the $15,000 Hearts on Fired diamond ring.

After much anticipation, the winners were announced as Caleb Holtz and Valerie Ellmers, with 118 of 132 possible points.

The stunning diamond ring was perfect for this couple, who plan to get engaged once Holtz receives his future father-in-law's blessing.
