HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) -

An accident in Henderson, Friday night, sent one person to the hospital and led to one person being arrested.

A witness at the scene told Henderson County Sheriff's Office she was driving westbound on US 60 when a vehicle came up behind and passed her on a double yellow line. The witness said the passing vehicle almost made it around her when another vehicle heading eastbound appeared. Deputies say the two cars collided when the passing vehicle tried to move back into the right lane.

The witness was taken to Methodist Hospital in Henderson and was later released.

42-year-old Billy D. Gobin was driving the vehicle trying to pass. He told deputies on scene that something had run out in front of his vehicle and cut to the left to avoid hitting the object that was in his path.

Deputies place Gobin under arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
