MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -
Good news for Muhlenberg County residents.
Select roads will be blacktopped this Fall using $200,000 in state road funds.
Representative Brent Yonts says the roads were chosen that are in the worst condition. These are the roads that will be blacktopped this Fall:
–A portion of Preacher King Road at Nelson Creek, $53,400;
–A portion of Paradise Road at Greenville, $42,000;
–Depoy Sharon Road from Bards Hill Road south 4,000 feet, $44,900;
–Clifton Lane from Charlie Brown Road 775 feet at Cherry Hill, $9,800;
–Burden Hill Lane from Gishton Road to end of the right of way, about 1,350 feet, $13,300;
–Main Street at South Carrollton from Hwy. 181 to a curve, around 900 feet, $8,200;
–Reed Cemetery Road at Bremen from Whitmer Anderson to the end of the road, around 1,850 feet, $13,000, and;
–Mud River Union Road at Belton from KY 2270 E, around 3,350 feet, $40,000.
