MONTGOMERY COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – Police arrested a woman they said stole thousands of dollars worth of fundraising items from a Boy Scout group.

The popcorn was being kept in a trailer in a volunteer family's yard. Until Thursday morning, when the popcorn went missing.

Boy Scout Volunteer Chad Jones said, "As I came out to check on it, you know I just saw the grass and it just hit me. So I immediately went to call a sheriff's deputy who's actually a scout volunteer."

Police said in her truck she had the popcorn that was taken from the family's yard.
