Boonville curfew passes, new time for teens to take effect in November

BOONVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A curfew ordinance has passed in Boonville. The city clerk tells us it will go into effect November 15th.

The ordinance will require children age 15 and younger to be in by 11:00 p.m., seven days a week.

It would also require 16- and 17-year-olds to be in by 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and by 1:00 a.m. on the weekends.

Fines for violating the curfew will start at $25, which will go into the continuing education fund.
