UPDATE: Man arrested in connection to August meth case

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

An Owensboro man was arrested Wednesday night in connection to a methamphetamine case stemming back to August.

Wednesday night, OPD says 39-year-old Kenneth Yarber turned himself in to police.

On August 5th, the Owensboro Fire Department responded to a call on J R Miller Blvd.  Upon arrival, responders founds burning debris in the backyard.

Owensboro Police Department Street Crimes detectives were able to determine that the debris were consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine.

OPD says that Yarber left the scene before detectives could speak to him that night.

Yarber is being charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of meth precursor and buy/possess of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently being held in the Daviess County Detention Center.

The case is still under investigation.
